🧱 What’s Holding You Back?

Apostasy and Shirk are two of the most feared concepts in Islam—and they’ve kept millions from exploring the truth about Jesus Christ.

✋ Apostasy (Leaving Islam = Punishable by Death)

Many Muslims are taught that leaving Islam is a crime—sometimes punishable by death according to certain Hadiths. While laws vary by country and interpretation, the fear runs deep.

Sahih Bukhari 9:84:57 – “Whoever changes his religion, kill him.”

Because of this, many Muslims feel trapped—not by love, but by fear.

But Jesus offers freedom, not fear:

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear...” – 1 John 4:18

God doesn’t want forced allegiance. He wants a willing heart.

“Choose this day whom you will serve.” – Joshua 24:15

⚠️ Shirk: The Unforgivable Sin of Islam?

Shirk, the sin of associating partners with God, is considered the gravest sin in Islam. And according to Islamic belief, calling Jesus “the Son of God” is considered shirk. This is why many Muslims are told that believing in Christ’s divinity leads to eternal damnation.

But here’s the truth:

“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” – 1 John 5:12
“I and the Father are one.” – John 10:30

Shirk is Islam’s attempt to prevent you from believing in Jesus—but the real danger is not believing in Him at all.

Mark 3:29 – “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.”

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit—not shirk—is the only unforgivable sin in the Bible. It’s the deliberate rejection of the Holy Spirit's testimony that Jesus is Lord.

So if you're rejecting Christ because you fear shirk, you may actually be committing the only sin that leads to eternal separation from God.
